About Us

1.  Applicants must have good proficiency in Bangla (especially speaking and writing) and English (especially reading and writing).
   (আবেদনকারীর বাংলা ভাষায় (বিশেষ করে স্পিকিং ও রাইটিং) এবং ইংরেজি ভাষায় (বিশেষ করে রিডিং ও রাইটিং) ভালো দক্ষতা থাকতে হবে।) 

2. Applicants who are currently pursuing undergraduate studies are encouraged to apply; those who have already graduated are discouraged from applying.
   (যারা বর্তমানে স্নাতক পর্যায়ে পড়াশোনা করছেন তাদের আবেদন করার জন্য উৎসাহিত করা হচ্ছে; যারা ইতিমধ্যে স্নাতক সম্পন্ন করেছেন তাদের আবেদন করতে নিরুৎসাহিত করা হচ্ছে।)

3. If your academic background is in CSE, EEE, BBA, or any other social science, you should not apply, as our research topic will not be suitable for you.
   (যদি আপনার একাডেমিক ব্যাকগ্রাউন্ড CSE, EEE, BBA অথবা অন্য কোনো social science রিলেটেড সাবজেক্ট হয়, তবে আপনাকে আবেদন করতে আমরা নিরুৎসাহিত করছি, কারণ আমাদের গবেষণার টপিক আপনার জন্য উপযুক্ত হবে না।)

4. Students from backgrounds in Chemistry, Physics, Biochemistry, Pharmacy, Genetic Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or any other field related to Biology, Chemistry, Environment or Physics are eligible to apply.
   (রসায়ন, পদার্থবিজ্ঞান, বায়োকেমিস্ট্রি, ফার্মেসি, জেনেটিক ইঞ্জিনিয়ারিং, কেমিক্যাল ইঞ্জিনিয়ারিং, মেকানিক্যাল ইঞ্জিনিয়ারিং বা জীববিজ্ঞান, রসায়ন, পরিবেশ সম্পর্কিত ও পদার্থবিজ্ঞানের সাথে সম্পর্কিত যেকোনো ক্ষেত্রের শিক্ষার্থীরা আবেদন করতে পারবেন।)

5. Applicants must be highly motivated to conduct research.
   (আবেদনকারীর গবেষণা করার প্রতি গভীর আগ্রহ থাকতে হবে।)

If you want to join our research group, you will need to follow the steps below.
(আমাদের রিসার্চ গ্রুপে জয়েন করতে চাইলে নিচের স্টেপগুলো ফলো করতে হবে।)

1. Prepare your CV. It must be an academic CV.
   (আপনার সিভি রেডি করবেন। এটি অবশ্যই একাডেমিক সিভি হতে হবে।)

2. Prepare a cover letter for the research student position. You must clearly mention why you want to do research with us, why we should give you this opportunity, and why you consider joining our group as a valuable opportunity. The length should be a minimum of 400 words and a maximum of 500 words.
   (একটি কাভার লেটার রেডি করবেন রিসার্চ স্টুডেন্ট পজিশনের জন্য। এখানে অবশ্যই কেনো আমাদের সাথে গবেষণা করবেন, আমরা কেনো আপনাকে এই সুযোগ দিবো, আপনি কেনো আমাদের রিসার্চ স্টুডেন্ট হিসেবে যুক্ত হওয়াকে সুযোগ মনে করছেন ইত্যাদি উল্লেখ করবেন। সর্বনিম্ন ৪০০ ও সর্বোচ্চ ৫০০ শব্দের মধ্যে লিখবেন। )

3. Prepare a motivation letter. In this, you should write about your passion for research, your motivation, any prior experience (if applicable), your future plans (mandatory), where you see yourself after 10 years, and whether joining our group has any connection to that vision. The length should be a minimum of 400 words and a maximum of 500 words.
   (একটি মোটিভেশন লেটার রেডি করবেন। রিসার্চ এ আপনার প্যাশন, মোটিভেশন, পূর্ব অভিজ্ঞতা (যদি থাকে), ভবিষ্যৎ পরিকল্পনা (আবশ্যক), ১০ বছর পর নিজেকে কোন পজিশনে দেখতে চান এবং তার সাথে আমাদের গ্রুপে যুক্ত হওয়ার কোনো সম্পর্ক আছে কিনা তা লিখবেন এই রাইটিং এ। সর্বনিম্ন ৪০০ ও সর্বোচ্চ ৫০০ শব্দের মধ্যে লিখবেন।)

4. Prepare a summary (in Bengali) of the following article, with a minimum of 800 words and a maximum of 1000 words:

5. Prepare a PowerPoint presentation based on the following article:

6. Prepare a summary (in English) of the following article, with a minimum of 800 words and a maximum of 1000 words:

7. Write an email to the following address: nneogi322@ gmail. com . The subject of the email should be "Prospective research student from Bangladesh".
   Attach all six files mentioned above to this email. The email itself should be between 50 and 100 words, and it should clearly show that you are highly motivated.
   (এবার একটি ইমেইল লিখবেন এই ইমেইল এ nneogi322@ gmail. com  ইমেইলের সাবজেক্ট দিবেন "Prospective research student from Bangladesh"। ইমেইলের সাথে উপরের এই ৬ টি ফাইল এটাচ করবেন। এবং ইমেইল লিখবেন সর্বনিম্ন ৫০ ও সর্বোচ্চ ১০০ শব্দের মধ্যে। এখানে ইমেইল টা এমনভাবে লিখবেন যেনো এটা পড়ে মনে হয় আপনি যথেষ্ট মোটিভেটেড।)

This is the application procedure. Your application will be reviewed holistically. After reviewing, we will inform you of the result in one of three ways:

1. You are accepted, and we will inform you about your next steps. You will then be able to communicate regularly via phone and Zoom with one of our team members for your first contact. Once the first project is 50% complete, you will begin contact with the supervisors.
   (আপনি এক্সেপ্টেড এবং আপনার পরবর্তী কাজ এই - এভাবে একটা ইমেইল পাবেন। তখন আপনার ফার্স্ট কন্টাক্ট এর জন্য আমাদের একজন টিম মেম্বারের সাথে রেগুলার ফোনে ও জুমে যোগাযোগ করতে পারবেন। প্রথম প্রজেক্ট এর কাজ ৫০% আগানোর পর supervisor দের সাথে আপনার কন্টাক্ট শুরু হবে।)

2. You are under consideration, and we will conduct an interview with you. You will receive an email regarding the interview details. If the interview is satisfactory, you will be able to communicate regularly via phone and Zoom with one of our team members. Once the first project is 50% complete, you will begin contact with the supervisors.
   (আপনাকে আমরা কন্সিডার করছি এবং আমরা আপনার একটা ইন্টারভিউ নিবো। ইন্টারভিউ সংক্রান্ত ব্যাপার সহ ইমেইল পাবেন। ইন্টারভিউ সন্তুষ্টিজনক হলে আমাদের টীম মেম্বারের সাথে রেগুলার ফোনে ও জুমে যোগাযোগ করতে পারবেন। প্রথম প্রজেক্ট এর কাজ ৫০% আগানোর পর supervisor দের সাথে আপনার কন্টাক্ট শুরু হবে।)

3. You are not under consideration, and we cannot offer you the opportunity. In this case, you will not receive any email.
   (আপনাকে আমরা কন্সিডার করছি না। আপনাকে আমরা সুযোগ দিতে পারছি না। তবে এই ক্ষেত্রে আপনি কোনো ইমেইল পাবেন না।)

Please remember that after your application, it will take at least 15 working days for us to review it. It may take longer. Therefore, have patience—this patience is the first step in research. Another point to note is that if you are applying with the sole intention of getting a publication very quickly, then doing research with us will not be a good decision. For almost all of our co-authors, it has taken one year or more to achieve their first publication.
